Ascorbic Acid aka Vitamin C supplementation?

Post by Admin on Thu Jun 16, 2011 6:14 pm

Many Studies have demonstrated the beneficial effects of supplementing Ascorbic Acid (vitamic C) in Species who do not `synthesize` their own and Bony Fish are one such species.

I always supplement vitamin C in QT`d hospitalized fish and the rest of the Koi population during Summer.

Although pure ascorbic acid powder is very bitter tasting to us ! it is in fact an `attractant`to Phish and mine love it Very Happy

Vit C Rocks Al ...

Some excellent papers have been written about it`s requirements in Teleost Phish.

I finally procured an inexpensive source of 99-100% pure L-Ascorbic Acid which cost a fraction of the previous suppliers prices.
