More Gremlins in the system

Post by DaveB on Sat Dec 17, 2011 8:56 pm

Noticed a minus figure on ORP meter this morning and upon investigation, noticed that the cable had broken. On closer investigation the cable looks to be chewed threw by a rat or something similar.A true Gremlin if there ever was one.

New probe I am afraid.I had the same problem with p.H probe so put a sheath made out of air hose around it. Seems to do the trick. So will do this with a the new ORP probe.

What is it with `Rodents` and Cables Dave Rolling Eyes

I once rescued a wild baby bunny (kitten) (not strictly a rodent) Brown Rabbit from the jaws of a neighbours Cat and reared her indoors until old enough to live in a hutch Very Happy

She gnawed through every cable in the room whilst LIVE no less Electric

At least a new probe costs less than $200 dollars Sweetie Very Happy

Hi Mio Unfortunatly I am plagued with rats. I have had the rat man out twice. I can,t even feed the birds as the Rats jsut steel all the food. I would imagine it is nice and warm and cosy living under the filter covers( decking)Casper our dog slens many an hour chasing them but as yet has not caught any

You need one of these Dave Kitty 1

Mine slays dozens of them annually.

Quite horrific ( as I loathe bloodshed of any kind ) but part and parcel of life with Cats Rolling Eyes
